Our Story

Ariez Elyaas
As a player Ariez was a Malaysia National Player (5 years), Former ATP ranked player that has helped team Malaysia achieve Bronze medal in the 2015 SEA Games and Davis Cup promotion into group II.
After deciding to stop his professional career in 2019 he went to New York, USA and worked with John McEnroe Tennis Academy for 2 years and a Tennis Retreat center called Total Tennis. He then went to travel the world for 2 years exploring different life teachings from experts and local tribes and is now based in Kuala Lumpur.
Letting go of something he trained for more than half of his life was a very difficult transition. He started diving into himself to understand what life is really about. With all the personal development and inner work he started to create a holistic approach of coaching one that blends training with mindfulness which he now shares to his players and everyone around him with his energy, focus and joy.

This is where it all started...
Arch Retreats is a tennis, wellness, and social travel company focusing on local, global, and private getaways offering group trips for adults from the ages of 20 - 50 years old and all tennis/fitness levels.
These retreats were created with tennis, wellness and growth as our pillars to connect our community to experience what it’s like to travel, train, explore and recover in places that inspire us.
An inspiration that pushes our community to get better on court and supported by meaningful connections formed from the trip.
Many of our past alumni’s continue to nurture the relationships that they made during the retreat and now have tennis friends in different countries and all over the world.
Meet your Coaches
Christian Lee
Started his first interaction with tennis on a squash court at the age of 5, and went on to play his first tournament a few short years later. He was able to reach the no. 1 ranking in Malaysian several times throughout his Junior and Senior level, and also went on to play NCAA Division 1 college tennis for a few years before returning to KL. His last professional participation was at the SEA Games 2017, where he decided to stop pursuing tennis professionally shortly after.
Being an athlete was a way of life and it required a lot of discipline and effort. Finding something else of the same magnitude, was a difficult transition that many ex athletes also have to face, but he turned his discipline and passion into a new venture that would come from a difficult time in his life, and helped create TRIBE, a new fitness studio. From here he gained a new found perspective on life and had a better appreciation for those around him. He continues to try and help others by leading from his own actions and trying to positively impact those around.
